On the morning of April 2nd, SDUT held the 2026 Work Conference on Comprehensively Strengthening Party Self-Governancein the lecture hall of Teaching Building No.3. The meeting thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Fifth Plenary Session of the 12th Shandong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, conveyed the requirements of the Work Conference on Comprehensively Strengthening Party Self-Governance of the provincial education system, analyzed the current situation of comprehensive and rigorous Party governance in the university, and arranged key tasks for this year. It aims to further advance the university’s comprehensive and rigorous Party governance in depth with higher standards and more solid measures. SU Shoubo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee in SDUT, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. DU Fangling, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee in SDUT, conveyed relevant guiding principles from the higher authorities. Members of the Party Committee in SDUT, members of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, and leading cadres at the middle level attended the meeting.
It was pointed out at the meeting that over the past year, SDUT has achieved notable results in Comprehensively Strengthening Party Self-Governance, while still facing some problems and shortcomings. The year 2026 marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and the 70th anniversary of SDUT’s establishment. It is a year of striving for high-quality development of SDUT’s undertakings, making the work of Comprehensively Strengthening Party Self-Governance highly significant and mission-bound. We must deeply study and understand General Secretary Xi Jinping’s strategic deployment on the “Three More” requirements, fully grasp the new and higher requirements for Party governance and SDUT administration in building a leading country in education and a strong provincial education system, guide all Party members and officials, especially leading officials, to firmly establish and practice a correct view of political achievements, and advance Comprehensively Strengthening Party Self-Governance in depth.
The meeting emphasized that we should continuously strengthen political construction, reinforce political guidance, strictly enforce political discipline, and earnestly conduct political supervision, striving to reach new heights in practicing the “Two Maintenances”. We should further deepen ideological guidance, carry out high-quality study and education on establishing and practicing a correct view of performance achievements, diversify forms of theoretical study and publicity, and firmly safeguard ideological positions, striving to achieve new tangible results in fostering virtue and cultivating talents with the Party’s innovative theories. We should continuously consolidate the organizational foundation, build strong grassroots Party organizations, strengthen the construction of the cadre team, and standardize the education and management of Party members, striving to make new progress in enhancing the political and organizational functions of Party organizations. We should consistently enforce strict discipline and improve work conduct, persevere in rectifying the four undesirable work styles, advance the integrated effort to ensure officials dare not, cannot, and will not commit corruption, and deepen the centralized campaign to address misconduct and corruption that affect people in their daily lives, striving to present a new look in fostering a clean and upright political ecology. We should keep improving the supervision system, refine supporting supervision mechanisms, strengthen the implementation of rules and regulations, effectively deliver the follow-up rectification of inspection findings, and strive to improve governance efficacy and develop new frameworks accordingly.
The meeting required that we strengthen responsibility fulfillment, consolidate primary responsibilities, pool work synergy, give play to exemplary leading roles, and reinforce accountability and performance evaluation. We shall ensure all tasks concerning Comprehensively Strengthening Party Self-Governance are fully implemented and yield tangible results, making new and greater contributions to forging ahead and writing a new chapter of high-quality development for the university.
