On February 2nd, the agreement signing ceremony for Sino-Foreign cooperative education between SDUT and University of Naples Parthenope was held in the conference room on the ninth floor of Hongyuan Building. Antonio Garofalo— Rector of University of Naples Parthenope, Francesco Calza—Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Vito Pascazio—Vice Rector for International Relations, attended the ceremony, together with LI Yuxia,President of SDUT, CHEN Shengwei and PANG Qiuxiang,Party Committee Standing Committee Members and Vice Presidents of SDUT.

LI Yuxia extended a warm welcome to Antonio Garofalo and his delegation, and provided an overview of SDUT’s development, disciplinary layout, and achievements in international education. She said that SDUT committed to an open schooling approach, kept deepening cooperation with renowned overseas universities and steadily promoted the level of internationalization in education. University of Naples Parthenope boasted distinctive characteristics in engineering and technology, economics and management, environmental science, and mathematical disciplines, which are highly in line with the development of SDUT relevant disciplines.She hoped that two parties would engage in pragmatic cooperation in areas such as cooperative education, joint scientific research, and faculty-student exchanges, to jointly build a Sino-Italian collaborative innovation platform for higher education, and cultivate high-quality talents of international perspective.
Rector Garofalo expressed his gratitude to SDUT for the warm reception and introduced the history, disciplinary strengths, and international cooperation of University of Naples Parthenope. He remarked that SDUT boasted a solid disciplinary foundation and vibrant academic research atmosphere. He fully endorsed the cooperation vision proposed by SDUT and looked forward to accelerating the curriculum co-construction, faculty exchanges, and joint student training in electrical and electronic engineering, resources and environment, mathematics, economics and other fields under the framework of the agreement.He also expressed a desire to actively explore a Sino-Foreign cooperative education model that aligns with the educational standards of both countries, so as to achieve resource sharing and mutual benefit.

During their stay in SDUT, the delegation visited the teaching and experimental facilities of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in SDUT.
Heads from relevant departments and schools attended the relevant activities, including Office of International Cooperation & Exchange, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, School of Resources ang Environmental Engineering, School of Mathematics and Statistics, and School of Economics.
